Signing in (user guide)
Use this page for onboarding, support replies, and training videos. It matches what the sign-in screen explains in short form.
Three ways to access your account
- Email and password — for accounts you created with the email form. Use the password you chose in Saarthee, not a password from another product.
- Continue with Google — Google runs the login on their side. Saarthee receives sign-in tokens and profile details Google provides under the consent you approved; it does not receive your Google account password.
- Continue with Notion — same idea: you authorize with Notion. Saarthee does not receive or store your Notion account password.
Who may use email and password?
Only accounts that have a Saarthee password (created through the email sign-up form, or after you add a password in Settings) should use the email and password boxes. If you first registered with Google or Notion only, sign in with those provider buttons—Saarthee will tell you if the email is OAuth-only instead of accepting a password there.
What Saarthee does not store (say this clearly in videos)
We do not store your Google account password or your Notion account password. Those credentials stay with Google and Notion. Do not type a Google or Notion password into Saarthee's email/password fields—that is the wrong flow and we still would not capture that password in a way that replaces Google/Notion login; use the provider buttons instead.
Saarthee does not collect or store your Google or Notion account passwords. Use Continue with Google or Continue with Notion for those providers. The email and password fields are only for an account password you create in Saarthee.
Legal wording also appears under Privacy Policy — Provider passwords.
Same email, one profile
If you already have an email/password account and later use Google or Notion with the same email, Saarthee may link those sign-in methods to one profile so you do not maintain duplicate users. See Privacy — Linked sign-in.
“An account with this email already exists”
You cannot create a second password account with the same email. Sign in with your existing password, or use Google/Notion with that email to attach OAuth to the same profile.
Video and demo checklist
- Show the Google and Notion buttons and say: authentication happens with the provider.
- State explicitly: Saarthee never stores Google or Notion passwords.
- Show the email form and say: this password is only the one users set for Saarthee email sign-up.
- Link viewers to this page: /help/sign-in
